Maps
This is the tithe map of Barningham drawn in 1838 which was rescued from the Rectory in 2010. It is now in Durham County Records Office but the BLHG has a digitalised copy of this and other maps for Scargill and Hope which we can email to you on request.
A fullsize (five foot x two) replica of this map is on permanent display in Barningham Village Hall.
This is the equivalent map for Newsham, a digital copy of which is also available from the history group. The original is held at the North Riding County Records Office in Northallerton.
