BARNINGHAM PARISH MEETING — FINANCE MEETINGS

Finance Meetings are held each autumn for residents to approve accounts and make other financial decisions, the main one being to agree the next year’s precept —  the figure added to the annual Council Tax to cover spending by the Parish Meeting in the village.  Over the last few years the precept has principally been used to pay for mowing of the Village Green and to financially assist the Village Hall.

ON-LINE FINANCE MEETING — THURSDAY 26 NOVEMBER 2020

Because of restrictions resulting from the Covid 19 pandemic it was not possible to hold either the Annual Parish Meeting in the spring or the Finance Meeting in autumn 2020 in their normal format. An online meeting using Zoom was held instead, attended by twelve parishioners. Decisions:

  1. Approval of final account statement for 2019-2020
  2. Approval of treasurer’s report and acceptance of account statement for first 8 months of 2020-21
  3. Agreement to raise a 2020-21 precept of £4,000, including £3,000 for the village hall.

Details of documentation submitted to the meeting can be found by following the links below. Robin Brooks, Clerk, (telephone 01833 621203, email rpbrooks72@gmail.com) will be happy to answer any questions about the meeting.
