Noticeboard
Next BLHG meeting: Tuesday April 6th, 6pm in the Village Hall.
Whitby trip: We plan to run a bus to Whitby on Satruday October 2nd for a tour of the town’s museums and archives, including the Captain Cook Museum. There may be space for extra people who don’t want to do the museums but just fancy a day out at the seaside. Numbers will be limited: names please asap to Jon.
Parish magazines: Vast numbers of ancient Barningham parish magazines (1890-1960s) have been found in the Rectory attics where refurbishment work is going on. We’ve sorted out a set for ourselves (see future Archives for extracts) but there are many duplicates. If you’d like any or all of them (a set for the year you were born, maybe, or the issue recording your wedding?) please get in touch… soon… the skips awaits.
Counted: Our latest publication, a complete A-Z of all Barningham census records from 1841-1911, is now available. See Publications.
Archive 5: Has been delivered to subscribers. If you haven’t got yours yet, please contact us.
Photos: The Archive needs pictures of Barningham and its people in the past. If you have any — or know anyone who does – please let us copy them for reproduction. They’ll go on this website, too — preserved for posterity!
Notices: If you’d like to put items on this noticeboard — including requests for information about family trees – please go to the Contact Us page
