ATKINSON/BINKS/WESTMARLAND: I’m searching for information on Thomas Atkinson, born in Barningham 1761. He had a son called Richard, born in the village in 1790, who married Hannah Binks. Thomas’s father was called George, his mother was Elizabeth Westmarland. Any infor would be great. adbuckle@ancestry.com Posted November 2009.
ATKINSON: My maternal grandmother was an Atkinson of Barningham. Her father was a wheelwright and I believe had a workshop in the village at the end of the 19th century. I’d be very interested to know if your group has any information about the family, in particular Edwin Atkinson junior, my grandmother’s brother. Valerie Eccles, 4 High Row, Gainford DL2 3DN. Posted December 2009.
BINKS: Trying to locate the birthplace of Thomas Binks, born 1780, married Jane Hicks 1799, died in Malton workhouse 1845 — he’s not the Barningham clockmaker though may be some relative. Pam Smith, Harrogate pam@pamsmithfamilyhistorian.co.uk Posted November 2009.

JONES: The names Wa and Cl James are on our date plaque: anybody know who they were? Lis Airey, Virginia Cottage, Barningham. Posted December 2009.

SHEPHERD: Has anyone information about my grandparents, Thomas and Florence Shepherd, who ran Barningham post office between about 1910 and 1920, or their children Leslie and Gladys? Rosie Yates, Escomb rosyat@aol.com Posted November 2009.
